Worked as Additional District Judge, Cuttack From 10-4-1985. Worked as District & Sessions Judge and as Presiding Officer, Industrial Tribunal, Orissa.

He served as the Judge of Orissa High Court from 14.3.1995 - 19.12.1999 and Judge of Allahabad High Court on 20.12.1999.
