Former Judge

Born on 16th July, 1922. Educated at P.M. Academy, Cuttack; Ravenshaw College, Cuttack; Christ College, Cuttack and Madhusudan Law College, Cuttack. Enrolled Pleader on 27-2-1951 and Advocate of the Orissa High Court on 6-7-1956. Practised in Civil, Criminal, Revenue and Constitutional matters. Joined the State Superior Judicial Service as Additional District and Sessions Judge on 5-5-1961 and appointed as District and Sessions Judge on 13-8-1962. Additional Legal Remembrancer and Joint Secretary and Legal Remembrancer and Additional Secretary in the Law Department of the State Government from 7-3-1967 to 18-5-1970. Appointed to the Selection Grade of District Judge in March, 1969 and to the supertime scale on 1-4-1972. Appointed Additional Judge of the Orissa High Court on 2-1-1974 and appointed Permanent Judge on 26-8-1974. Appointed Acting Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court on 13-3-1983. 

He served as the Judge of Orissa High Court from 2.1.1974 - 15.7.1984.
