Born on 5th May, 1957 at Bijnor (U.P.). He persuaded his graduation at Allahabad University in the year 1976 followed by the LL.B. degree which he received in the year 1979/80. He was enrolled as an advocate with the Uttar Pradesh Bar Council on 28.07.1980. He started his practice in the High Court of Allahabad from 28.07.1980 till 13.02.2002 where he successfully conducted numerous cases on the original, constitution, civil and criminal sides. He held the post of Additional Advocate General for the State of U.P. in the year 1995. Elevated as the Chief Justice of Orissa High Court from 26.02.2016 and Elevated as Judge of Supreme Court on 07.08.2018.
